This will be my first time (well, not really yhe first, but yhe first I would like to get done from start to finish) translating a visual novel, and before I would mostly deal with Light Novels and Web Novels of both SFW and NSFW variety.
You can check some samples of the things I've done/offer right here if you'd like:

Come to think of it, I might be a good idea for me to also set up Patreon page for this exact project......

Good luck, then. I sent something small via ko-fi, and I wish I could give more, but I wanted to show my support regardless

If you decided to go the patreon route, Id back you there too. Its just personally easier for me since I already support ppl on patreon

That being said, I should have the first part of the Common route ready today. Strictly transated of course. Once everything will be translated, there will come time for quality check and all that other lovely editorial stuff.
Do you think it might be a good idea to put regular posts on Ko-fi/Patreon with the progress report as it will be made? That way hou people could be up to speed

I usually appreciate whenever translation teams offer that transparency of progress with their backers, even if I try to avoid any early samples to keep myself from being spoiled on anything (personal preference, lol)

I know a lot of teams also use polls and feedback from patrons to learn about what their followers want to see translated

I would like to test how that poll function from Ko-fi goes, so if all the people who are interested in it would be so kind as to take part in the character route poll, I would really appreciate it. It's set to last for the entire month, so there's no rush

You'll probably get better results if you make a poll somewhere that doesn't require a login. Just a heads up. You can actually make a poll on here as well

Actually, I misspoke. I was mistaken this site for another that's similar to it. I don't know if you can do polls on here. My bad...

i think its also possible to use a strawpoll dont need to login there last time i checked

I've tried making the poll on Twitter this time around, should someone find thatvway to be easily accessable.
However, the poll had to be split into 2 parts, and can last for 7 days at maximum. So you'd have to be slightly quicker about it

"Easily accessible"? - Nope, can't vote without logging in, which requires an active Twitter account, which no-one in their right mind has had for a couple years now. :p But good news - you CAN make a poll here, you just have to make a new thread for it.

I'm sorry for asking what might be obvious to everyone else, but what do each of these chunks represent?

Am I interpreting this right in assuming that the first set of 00's represent the common route, and each sequential number after the underscore is an individual scene? So 00_01 (188/188) means the common route's first scene has 188 lines of text translated? Is that correct?

Just trying to follow along with the progress you've shared

Yup, that's right. "00" part is for common route (at least that's how I assume it to be), the number after the underscore is the scene in said route, and the numbers in the bracket represents just how many lines of text are in the scene, with each line being equal to the text you would usually see in the "text box/dialogue box" (I don't know the technical term for that stuff) at any given time.
I only now realize that this might sound convoluted as all fuck, and I apologize for that.
